From CTaipale@aol.com Wed Oct 31 06:18:34 2001 From: CTaipale@aol.com (CTaipale@aol.com) Date: Wed, 31 Oct 2001 01:18:34 EST Subject: NEW ADDRESS FOR POSTING MESSAGES TO CSC Message-ID: <18.1496d79a.2910f1ba@aol.com> Hi Y'all! Okay, the change we mentioned in our last email has just been made. Here are two new addresses for you to save in your memory banks: To POST messages to the ChurchSoundcheck Discussion Group, address your emails to: ================================================== You can MAKE CHANGES to your ChurchSoundcheck subscription at any time by going to: ================================================== http://lists.churchsoundcheck.com/list/listinfo/csc For those subscribed to the DIGEST, you may see a duplicate of the digest today or tomorrow. That's just an artifact of making this change, so please don't worry about it. Once things settle down, all should be back to normal. ============================================== Special note for CSC LIGHTING discussion group members: the change we've made requires that we fold the CSC Lighting Discussion Group back into the ChurchSoundcheck Discussion Group. If you'll take the time to flag your messages with the term Lighting at the beginning of the Subject, then relevant emails should be easy to spot. ============================================== In making this change, we've had to cut back on some of the services we've offered in the past. In the long run, though, we believe you'll agree with us that this change is the best move for all concerned. Be Blessed! Message-ID: <129.6d34d0c.29118fb0@aol.com> Hi Y'all! Many thanks for your patience as we work through some small bugs in the improvements we made to the ChurchSoundcheck Discussion Group early this morning. A handful of email addresses were mistakenly added to our new ChurchSoundcheck Discussion Group or our CSC Announce List. If yours was one of them, please accept our apologies. It was not our intention to burden you with unwanted email. With nearly 3000 members, sometimes mistakes happen. If you don't want to receive email from our discussion group or announce list service, there are two ways you can unsubscribe. HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE THE FAST WAY ==================================== Simply take sixty seconds to go to the following web interface and select Unsubscribe. ********************************************************* http://lists.churchsoundcheck.com/list/listinfo ********************************************************* NOTE: You'll need to unsubscribe from BOTH lists: the CSC Discussion Group -- AND -- the CSC Announce List HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE THE SLOW WAY ==================================== If you would rather have us unsubscribe your email address for you, then write to us directly at and we will be glad to do that for you. Please include the specific email address that you want to drop from the group. Realize that it may take up to 72 hours for us to get to your request. AN ENCOURAGEMENT ========================================== If you were once a member of our group and dropped off simply because of the high volume of daily email, then we would encourage you to stay subscribed to the Announce List. The purpose of the Announce List is to communicate late-breaking news from our company regarding upcoming ChurchSoundcheck workshops and production conferences and to let you be the first to hear about our new educational products for tech support ministries. Therefore, messages you would receive from the Announce List will only be occasional, but could prove to be very helpful if you're still involved in the tech support ministry of your church. Thanks again for your patience. Be Blessed! Taipale Media Systems, Inc. From CTaipale@aol.com Wed Oct 31 22:02:27 2001 From: CTaipale@aol.com (CTaipale@aol.com) Date: Wed, 31 Oct 2001 17:02:27 EST Subject: Clarification of CSC changes Message-ID: <4e.fa7681.2911cef3@aol.com> This is your motto for today: "I will not post messages to " From this day forward, I will instead post all my ChurchSoundcheck emails to . ========================================= Hi Y'all! We have two points of clarification to make that hopefully will help many of our members. (1) THE ADDRESS to post your messages to the group HAS CHANGED. You should now post your messages only to . We have completely shut down our Sparklist listserv. As many times as we've said that since midnight last night, some people aren't reading their email and/or it hasn't sunk in yet. There is no point in trying to resubscribe via the blaze server at Sparklist because we have moved our service to a different company. ' (2) Again, erase the blaze server address from your system. The web address for the NEW WEB INTERFACE is http://lists.churchsoundcheck.com/list/listinfo. Please store that address in your browser and in a database. You'll find it at the bottom of all the emails from the group as well. Again, the web address for the new web interface is no longer at Sparklist. Instead, set your browser to go to http://lists.churchsoundcheck.com/list/listinfo (3) While most of our members receive their CSC email directly to their inbox, a handful of our members are used to reading and posting their messages at the web page interface. That feature is no longer available, which means everyone in the group now will receive their CSC mail like any other email. You can still, however, choose the standard or digest version. The good news is that the system is working wonderfully, and the switchover has created only minor glitches. Be Blessed! Taipale Media Systems, Inc.
